Admission for
International Students

How to Apply

To ensure a smooth processing of your application, please follow the outlined procedures when applying for a program with LSBF Malaysia:

Pre-Arrival Information for International Students

Please take note of the following important information before you travel to Malaysia:

  • International students may enter Malaysia regardless of their vaccination status. However, vaccination requirements are still subjected to the airline company’s requirements.
  • It is mandatory for all International students to enter Malaysia before the expiry of their Visa Approval Letter (VAL). VAL is issued with only six (6) months validity, which is sufficient to enter the country.
  • International students are required to have a passport validity for more than 18 months (all countries except Indonesia)/24 months (Indonesia only) upon arrival in Malaysia.
  • The Pre-Departure and On-Arrival COVID-19 detection test are no longer required.
  • International students are required to complete the MDAC. This can be done as early as three days before arrival or, at the latest, upon arrival. International students must present their completed MDAC at entry points for immigration clearance. The MDAC can be completed via the Immigration Department website: https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main?register

Arrival & Immigration

To study in Malaysia, international students need to follow several steps for arrival and immigration:

Booking a Flight

Ensure your flight ticket is flexible in case of approval delays. Arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 (KLIA) or Terminal 2 (KLIA 2).The earliest travel date for new students is 2 weeks before the orientation date.

Apply for SEV

Check SEV requirements: SEV (Single Entry Visa) Required Countries. Some countries are exempt; refer to the official website for details. Certain nationalities may need a Visa on Arrival (VOA). Traveling without an SEV or e-Visa may complicate student visa endorsement. Check with the Malaysian Embassy in your home country.
